GRADE % = (RISE ÷ RUN) x 100
This is the way to determine the grade porcent(%) when you wants to lay any pipe between two distances
Example: The differences of elevation between two Manholes invert is 15 centimeters (this is the Rise) and the distance between them is 30 meters (this is the Run), bear on mind you have to convert both Rise and Run in the same units, because Rise is in centimeters we will convert Rise to meter units, 15cm = .15meters, now we are ready to. REMEMBER, units all the time have to be the same, no matter if they are foot, centimeters or inches, at the end have to be all of them the same in order to work the ecuation
GRADE % = (.15 meters ÷ 30 meters) x 100 = .5 => pipe will be layed at .5%. Try it again with other numbers in the our online ecuation.
